There are many to choose from so we had to narrow down the choices to those all natural shampoos and conditioners that are made for both men and women, works on normal hair, and costs less than $25 a bottle. Those that we chose had at least four stars on Amazon. We didn’t differentiate between organic shampoos and natural shampoos, so some may be organic or simply natural. Let’s look at the list.

2. Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo with Peppermint, Tea Tree and Eucalyptus Botanicals

Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo with Peppermint, Tea Tree, and Eucalyptus Botanicals is a great shampoo for all types of hair. While not organic, it does have certified organic botanicals making it a great choice for people who are looking for an invigorating shampoo. Made in the USA and cruelty free.

3. Shiseido Tsubaki Shining Shampoo with Tsubaki Oil EX

The next shampoo, Shiseido Tsubaki Shining Shampoo with Tsubaki Oil EX, comes from Japan and not surprising tops our list of natural shampoos for black hair, but will also work on any hair. Although considered natural, it is not organic nor does it state it is cruelty free.

4. Alterna’s Bamboo Smooth Anti-frizz Shampoo

Alterna’s Bamboo Smooth Anti-frizz Shampoo contains organic bamboo extract for stronger hair. Works toward keeping the frizz down. This shampoo is natural but not organic. Nor does it list being cruelty free.

5. Dermorganic’s Conditioning Shampoo

The Dermorganic’s Conditioning Shampoo does a great job cleaning as well as conditioning. Uses antioxidants, omega-6, essential lipids, vitamin E and rice amino acids for healthier hair. Although they use the word “organic” in their name, it is not listed as organic nor does it state it is cruelty free.

6. Organix South TheraNeem Shampoo Scalp Therape

The shampoo Organix South TheraNeem Shampoo Scalp Therape uses neem oil and peppermint to clean and condition your hair. Neem helps keep your skin and scalp healthy and clean. Although they use many natural ingredients, it is not organic nor does it state it is cruelty free.

7. Queen Natural Hair Shampoo

Unlike the other shampoos, Queen Natural Hair Shampoo uses natural volcanic bedrock water as well as six year old Korean red ginseng, Indian strawberry, henna extract, and rosemary extract. Cruelty free for those concerned about animal testing. It does not state it is organic.

8. Hydratherma Naturals SLS Free Moisture Plus Hair Cleanser

Hydratherma Naturals SLS Free Moisture Plus Hair Cleanser works to provide moisture as well as work as a shampoo. With coconut and herbal derived ingredients such as sage, lemongrass, and Melissa Officinalis leaf extract, it’s also pH balanced for your hair. Has a nice, natural lemon fragrance. It does not state it is organic.

9. Pelican DEI-TAN-SEKI Clay & Charcoal Shampoo

While you may not think of clay and charcoal as being something in a shampoo, the Japanese have certainly considered it. Another Japanese product, Pelican DEI-TAN-SEKI Clay & Charcoal Shampoo actually uses clay, bentonite, and charcoal to naturally clean your hair. Includes camelia seed oil to help soften your hair. It does not state it is organic.

10. Naive Peach Hair Shampoo

Perhaps you’re looking for something with a pleasing scent? Naive Peach Hair Shampoo, also made in Japan, has a delightful peach scent because it uses peach juice extract and peach leaf extract. The peach ingredients help moisturize your hair. It also uses such natural ingredients as oat protein and wheat protein for stronger hair. It does not state it is organic.
